Mrs Ruth McAteer
Ruth was born and raised in rural Countyshire, in a little village called Hamington. As a teenager, Ruth had a life-changing encounter with the living God, and gave up her university place to study the Bible instead, in an effort to find out more about what had happened to her.
After 6 years at Bible College, on the west coast of Scotland, Ruth felt a call into the Anglican ministry, and while going through the selection process, met and married a youth worker, Bill, from her local Anglican church, St. Saint of Someplace.
Three years training at St. John's College, Nottingham, a second degree and a baby boy later, Ruth took up the post as curate in Ruraland Team Ministry. She remained at Ruraland to serve 5 years as Team Vicar, before taking up the role as Rector of the ABC group of churches in February 2014.
